ValuationsLab is where aspiring analysts, in the UAE and around the world, learn valuation on real companies, produce professional work, and build a public record they can show employers. It is for students and graduates aiming for equity research, investment banking, asset management or private equity; CFA candidates; university investment clubs; and early-career and independent analysts who want a portfolio of public work.

Learn. Pick a listed company, or upload its annual report. The engines build the model — discounted cash flow, a linked three-statement model, trading comparables, precedent transactions, leveraged buyout, sum-of-the-parts and dividend discount — on live data, and every assumption is explained at the level you choose, next to what the company has actually done. Methodology notes and the Investor Lenses (Buffett, Lynch, Graham, Greenblatt, Fisher, Piotroski) show how the professionals reason.

Build. Produce the work the job asks for: a formula-driven Excel workbook from any model, an initiation report in Report Studio exported to Word or PowerPoint, and a one-page IC memo drafted from your own numbers.

Prove. Publish dated calls under your name on a public analyst profile. Thesis Monitor checks your thesis against every results release, so your record shows how your judgement held up.

Getting into equity research is hard to do on a CV alone. Employers want evidence that a candidate can value a business and defend a view, and most students have no way to show it: professional terminals are priced for firms, and course case studies aren't public.

ValuationsLab gives aspiring analysts the professional process, explained as they go, and a record of their work that anyone can check. That matters especially in the UAE, where employers are developing local analyst talent and regional companies are poorly served by global tools.

• A range, not a number. Every valuation comes with bear, base and bull cases and a sensitivity table, so you see how much the answer depends on what you assume.
• The engines compute; the assistant explains. Every figure comes from deterministic, documented models. The assistant explains concepts, reviews your work and points you to the right tool — it never invents a number.
• Traceable figures. Data shows where it came from and how current it is, and values extracted from an uploaded report are shown for you to review before they're used.
• Beyond the companies data providers cover. Data providers cover most listed companies well. For small caps, emerging markets and private companies they cover poorly, you can upload the annual report instead. Broader support for non-US markets and accounting standards is a priority.
• Records are honest. A published call keeps its date and the market price at publication, set by the server rather than the author. It can be closed, which locks the result, but never deleted. Ratings follow one rule for everyone: Buy at a target 15% or more above the price, Sell at 5% or more below it, Hold in between.
• Education, not advice. ValuationsLab helps you analyse and understand a business. Profiles, calls and reports are an educational portfolio; it never tells you what to buy or sell — the conclusion is yours.

ValuationsLab runs on institutional-grade market and fundamental data, sourced from primary company filings and exchange feeds through licensed data partners and official SEC EDGAR filings — not scraped or estimated. The coverage available to the platform spans:

Every figure is traceable to its source: audit exports tag each value as user input, market data, AI-suggested, or computed, and each major calculation is documented in the in-app Methodology panel with its formula and academic reference (Damodaran, CFA curriculum, Rosenbaum & Pearl).

Quotes are live where available and exchange-delayed where a market requires it; depth of coverage varies by exchange and asset class. Always verify a figure against its primary source before relying on it.
